Kate is an independent Family and Systemic Psychotherapist.  Kate initially trained as a social worker obtaining an MSC in social work, she worked in the statutory and voluntary sectors for many years in different contexts including social care and the NSPCC.

This included working with complex child protection and family support cases as well as developing a parental mental health service and an alcohol and parenting service.

Kate has been involved in supervising and teaching for many years, most recently tutoring on the Child Focused Practice Course at the Institute of Family Therapy.
