Elaine is a dual qualified family therapist and art therapist working in the public and private sectors. She currently leads a specialist multi-disciplinary team with the South London and Maudsley NHS trust working with children with complex medical and or social circumstances who have a diagnosis of childhood obesity.

Elaine also works as an independent practitioner in Kent and has over 25 years experience in fostering and adoption working closely with children, young people, families, schools and local authorities. 

Elaine has consistently taught and facilitated groups. She supervises therapists from a range of settings and has been a visiting lecturer at the Tavistock Institute on the post graduate systemic training programmes. Elaine is a practising artist and illustrator and over the years she has led community art projects, exhibited regularly and held open house events.
