OUR APPROACH
Based in Hackney East London, Chiron is an independent training provider of systemic family psychotherapy and counselling.
Our courses are designed for professionals seeking a qualification or the opportunity to develop their skills to work therapeutically with families, couples, children and individuals.
Our training is informed by a systemic theoretical approach. This means we pay particular attention to the context in which people interact with each other. We believe this is important when exploring and getting an understanding of how particular behaviours are given their meaning and how that influences an individual's choice of action.
Systemic thinkers and practitioners believe that looking at relationships in context create opportunities to explore issues of power and how these may be related to race, culture, religious beliefs, gender, class or other dynamics that can influence how we see the world, how the world sees us and how we act in it.
Chiron is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Family Therapists (AFT)
The teaching staff are all members of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and are subject to the Code of Ethics and complaints procedures of these bodies.
